Consent Management

Wondaris provides support for our clients to comply with Google's new consent rules. These rules mostly affect clients with users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK).

The following Wondaris Activation Destinations will require consent from users in the EEA before activating audiences into these destinations.

• Google Ads - Customer Match Upload

• Google Marketing Platform - Display & Video 360 (Customer Match Audience)

• Google Ad Manager 360

Manage Consent Rules

Consent rules must be set for all customer consent data as a prerequisite to activating Wondaris audiences into Google Destinations, which requires user consent from audience members.

This is required so Wondaris can include the correct Google-specific consent signals when pushing audiences to Google, stating whether a user has either GRANTED or DENIED consent or if consent is unknown (either not provided or does not have a matching consent rule).

The following shows the process within Wondaris.

1. Add a Customer Consent metadata tag to all consent fields in your customer data.

2. Set Consent Rules for each field tagged with a Customer Consent tag.
