LinkedIn Ads - Customer list upload DMP Segment

Overview

Advertisers can upload their first-party data list of contacts (an Audience generated & managed by Wondaris) to match with LinkedIn users to create new audience segments for targeting within LinkedIn advertising campaigns.

Note that due to limitations with this integration, you cannot use LinkedIn to create a list or attach an upload to that list. Wondaris must have created both so that it is allowed to manage the lists & uploads.

Some extra information can be found on LinkedIn and below:

  • It may take up to 48 hours (on a rare occasion, longer) to generate your audience after your list is uploaded.

  • Your uploaded list must reach a minimum of 300 matched members for your campaign to serve, regardless of how many emails are in your list.

  • We recommend uploading lists with at least 10,000 personal or professional email addresses to ensure your list matches with at least 300 verified email addresses on LinkedIn.

  • If an individual has more than one email address, we suggest including all the email addresses, as it will improve your ability to reach that member. The member won’t be included in the matched audience multiple times.

  • The maximum file size is 20MB or 300,000 records.

  • When selecting targeting facets for your campaign audience, contact lists may not be used with member interests and traits.

 

There are NO requirements for you to handle actual CSV files with this integration - it is all handled by Wondaris itself ie: while the connection uses CSVs, these are sent to LinkedIn in the background and the process to generate these is the same as any other desintation integration.

Instructions

  1. Go to Create Destination

  2. Select LinkedIn Ads (Customer list upload DMP Segment) destination type card

  3. Authorise Wondaris to connect to LinkedIn Ads

  4. Fill in the Configuration screen

    1. Name the connection

    2. Optionally add a description

    3. Choose your Sponsored Account

    4. Either:

      1. Select a DMP Segment; OR

      2. Create a new and complete the setup form to create a new Audience list

      3. Choose whether or not another user can override these settings when activating (Allow Override checkbox)

  5. Click Create to save - now you can use this destination in activations!

Available Fields

The following fields are currently supported by Wondaris. Any fields not listed below can be mapped manually when creating an activation.

  • Email

  • Apple Mobile Advertiser ID

  • Google Android Mobile Advertiser ID

  • Google User ID

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Job title name

  • Company

  • Country code

User choice and control

All customer information is hashed before it reaches LinkedIn. No PII is shared with LinkedIn.

LinkedIn users can control the ads they see on LinkedIn, including Customer Match ads, in their Advertising Preferences.
