Creating a destination connection

Destinations

A “destination” in Wondaris is not only the system where Wondaris will send your first party data, but also the place within that system where the data will go. A couple of examples of this are:

  • Universal Google Analytics (the system) - a structured event hit within a Google Analytics property (the place within the system)

  • Google Ads (the system) - a customer match list attached to an Ads account (the place within the system)

Instructions

  1. Select ‘Create Destination’ from the left hand side nav

  2. Search your destination type from the catalogue or filters & select

Note: Click the little button in the top right of the destination cards to find out more info - alternatively checkout Destination Types in our public knowledge-base.

  3. Log in with your authorised account profile - you can choose an existing one or create a new account profile (this will open a new window to allow you to authorise the destination if you need to create a new sign-in profile)

  4. Set all of the configuration options in the connection setup - this will generally include the following:

    1. Name (required)

    2. Description (optional)

    3. Ads/MarTech Account (if this has no results, you may not have permissions - and a warning is likely to show)

    4. Audience List (where the data will be pushed to inside the destination):

      1. Pick an existing one (if possible)

      2. Create a new one (this will create a new list within AdTech/MarTech to receive new data)

    5. Other configuration options per destination

    6. Allow override (allows the configuration options to be changed when using the destination in an activation)

Once created, it will appear in the saved destinations and most settings can be edited.
